maybe, but other than subwoofers I can't think of any speakers that should be mounted that low. So maybe what you are asking is can I build a sub-woofer disguised as a stage and the answer is yes.

I've used Falcon screens and I know he sells his fabric similar to the Semour XD to the DIY crowd. Ask for a sample. Seymour is a good fabric, I like the Falcon just a bit more.
