I always let my receiver put the sub in -dB. Then I increase the sub's level by 5dB and I'm closer to "0" and by running 5dB hot it adds one heck of a kick.

Thanks DS-21. I was aware of the Dynamic EQ like part of Dolby volume, but I wasn't aware that it was implemented in the MRX receivers so I didn't mention it in my post.

I would run ARC again, but I'd keep my original ARC file that sounded great. That way you can go back to it if you like. Just save the new ARC file under a different name.

Sorry, yes I misunderstood. I haven't used a Denon for a long time(have an Anthem receiver with ARC) so I'm not familiar with the dB offset in your receiver. Is it Dynamic EQ?
