An htpc as a client pc is generally smaller & more power efficient, since most of the storage disks are moved away from it....

Go to the Control Panel -> Power Settings....

Go to the Control Panel -> Power Settings. Select "Do Nothing" for power and sleep buttons. This will ignore all power button presses(from the remote & the case).

TV manufacturers are still focused on picture quality, 3D etc. Providing cable card, DVR and IP TV (netflix/ hulu) integration is not a priority right now.

The htpc is safe for now(atleast 2 yrs).

I was considering clear a while ago, but stuck with comcast. Overall clear 4G is pretty good for streaming/ downloads but has high latency/ ping for games.
