Thanks guys. I already have the W5000 (which I think is super sharp). I am leaning towards the optoma for the 3D though. I was going to move my W5000 to the "videogame" room as my old DLP TV died recently.
has anybody (hopefully Mark) compared this to the HD3300? I'm on the fence between the W7000 and the HD3300 but would like someones opinion that has seen the two.
Right now I have the W5000 in my theater (as reference).
Thanks in advance
I am sold on the HD3300. Already talked to Benito. I do have one question. I have 5 pairs of Samsungs glasses for my 2010 plasma. Will these work with the PJ? I would like to get the RF glasses but would like to hold off. I can't seem to find any specs on these glasses
I saw the sharp xvz17000 on a 92" BD II .8 gain at my local best buy(magnolia). The salesman also had the 1.4 sample he held up to the screen. With all the lights on in the studio I wasn't that impressed as the room I would like to put the screen on will have a lot more ambient light than their studio.
My question is who has seen the 2.7 gain BD III (not just samples) and what are his/her impressions on it?
I agree with Barb1978. All those scenes were incredible in 3d.
If you goto the xtras the director and producers say they used the same Pace camera's that James Cameron used for Avatar. They also said all editing and post production were done in 3D (first ever for a live action film).
The cameraman said that there's alot of learning to do with 3d cameras as some scenes will look flat because of foreground and background distances. He thought that 3D was best when used...
