The Current Design CVT-100 Component Video to RGB Transcoder is designed to provide broadcast quality performance with (100 MHz) high bandwidth circuitry to the home theater market. The CVT-100 allows consumers the means to interface such products as DVD players, WVHS players, and HDTV decoders to RGB capable display devices. This product will also appeal to individuals that own line doublers without component video inputs. The CVT-100 allows consumers the ability to...
Jim, Your Extron CVC-200 will not handle 480P signals as it was designed to the SMPTE 240 standard which did not include progressive scan at 31.5 kHZ signals. Supposedly Extron has redesigned the CVC-200 and the revised version is supposed to be capable of handling this signal. The CVC-200 has only 50 mHz bandwidth which is not enough headroom to pass the signal without degrading it. The image will be softer than it could be if you had more headroom. The rise time of...
Monster Cables trancoder will not do any HDTV frequencies including 480P it works exclusively at 15.75 kHz.
The Extron CVC200 will absolutely not process a 480P signal! They have acknowledged that there is a design problem with this product that they are working on for this particular signal. Furthermore the bandwidth of the device is only 50 mHz which does not allow for enough headroom for the signal when viewing 720P and 1080I signals. The bandwidth limitation softens the picture substantially. A new transcoder was displayed at CES from Current Design which will be...
Ben, In response to your posting on your Panamax Max 1000 turning off when the power goes above 128 volts. The Panamax max 1000 will turn off when it reaches 130 volts which is too low for many home owners that experience a high average line current of 125-128 volts a/c. The 130 volt overvoltage level is not reasonable since you would only need to experience an increase of 2%-4% to increase your 125-128 volt a/c line voltage to place you in an overvoltage condition. ...
