The downside of going through analogue afaik right now, is that the software players are still downsampling the signal when they do the decoding so essentially your getting a plain dolby/DTS track that has been decoded by the player sent...

Hi Curt, problem exists on the raster aswell unfortunately... But since I don't live in the US, sending the board back and forth with added to that the cost of you repairing it, might become a bit too much? Someone else suggested...
So I finally got into CRT since I got a BG808s for my 30th birthday and I couldn't be happier since I actually wanted something like this 6 years ago but had to settle on an XGA LCD Panasonic then... Unfortunately it turns out this PJ...
Just got word back from the dealer that sold me the speakers 6 years ago... he assures me that nothing went wrong with the speakers and he will present this case to B&W. Now even if nothing comes of this, that is still good service...
Thx for the replies. The speakers were bought from a small home theater dealer that had these as demo units. They were manufactured in '99 and I bought them in 2001... so no, there's no chance of me getting a refund I should have...
