Driver cut-out for the Ultimax is 10.73" while the Shiva is 11". If that PE box is designed for only the Ultimax, then you will need to enlarge the driver opening. You will get better responses in the DIY section.
The PEQ spreadsheet? http://peq5.tripod.com/index.html The author of this spreadsheet just showed back up at the forum after a few years away.
Is that a Lambda Acoustics 10" on the floor? I think I bought that from you years ago.
Try it yourself. There are a dozen different foam surround sellers on Ebay. I refoamed four 15" Earthquake subs from 1991 that are built similarly. My process was pretty simple: Clean off the old foam. I took great care in cutting off the dust cap to shim the coil. Glue the foam to the cone. After the first glue dries, glue the foam to the frame. It took a week to complete all 4 but that was due to a lack of desk space and the time it took the glue to dry. I used...
I'm always interested in TC built driver so I found a picture of the motor structure.Based on your comment about being close to the Epic line and that picture, I figure I had the exact same motor.I got that motor from a busted 12" sub. It's exactly the same size as an Epic motor (TC 2+ motor) but with a 3" coil. As you can see in the picture, it has a copper covered pole piece to lower the induction. After using that motor on a new build, I tested it with Woofer Tester...
If you want to contact them, Sound Solutions Audio dot com has a forum where a representative hangs out. If the delay in delivery is extreme, they will make things right. I ordered a recone for a Blueprint 1001 (the old XBL^2 driver) since they were the OEM for it. They searched the corners of their warehouse to find an old voice coil and built me a drop-in replacement. It never arrived. They had to find another coil which took a while. Even though it took 2 months...
Not to get too far off topic but yes, I've seen dogs with cataracts. There are also veterinary ophthalmologists that specialize in these types of surgeries. My cat went to Dr. Bill Miller of Advanced Animal Eye Care. He travels around the mid-south (Jackson, MS to Little Rock, AR to Memphis, TN) performing different eye related procedures on dogs and cats. He's the only one in this area and his rates are in line with his $pecialization. The decision between home theater...
1. This is in no way a high end system. It's a boom box. I wouldn't waste the time with a divider. But if you can put one in after the fact, then do a before/after comparison. 2. The speakers are coaxial full range so no crossover is needed. It's a neat project but I can't see wasting a perfectly good ammo can on something like this. Mine are being used for their intended purpose. If you have no ammo to store, then you might want to consider other sized options...
