I 2nd his opinion. After hearing all of the mixed opinions, I really didn't know what to expect. Suffice it to say I absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed MOS.The 2 1/2 hours flew by. I also have seen the originals again recently. Heck, I was 2nd online for the opening show that momentus Friday nite back in 1978. I had been reading newspaper ads for weeks leading up to the opening saying in "2 wks you will believe a man can fly", in 3 days, etc. When we actually saw the film...
Just did a binge viewing of all 5 episodes of the BBC series The Fall last night and I must say it was superb. It started off very slow and I must confess I was considering just halting my watching and deleting it from my queue. Everything is so fast paced now and high octane. I guess my attention span has really suffered. Anyway, I decided to hang in there and I was justly rewarded. Superb acting. What a pleasure to see Gillian Anderson again. I missed her since her...
Even though I have this set to record the series on my DirecTv DVR, I just checked and saw it wasn't going to record. I can now see why. I have it set to record only new shows and the episode info shows this was first aired in April so dvr thought it was a rerun. Checked both new and repeat to record. Alls good now...
I just had the Genie HR44 installed a couple of weeks ago. It is blazing fast records 4 or 5 shows at once. Absolutely no complaints. If your'e considering upgrading make sure you get the 44 not 34.
I also read this in College. But your'e older than me. For me it was only 37 years ago. What a profound effect this book had on my thinking. Tried to get my kids to read it, but only one of them took me up on it. We both loved Pt I. Am very much looking forward to Pt II, but will wait until we can enjoy together since she's away at college. For me, the technical aspects of the film are not as important. Yes I want it to be a quality production, made well with solid...
I really wanted to like this show. But it was just impossible to watch. Anything that breaks the mold of cop, hospital, who got murdered this week and lets revel at the underbelly of society, has just got to be more interesting. But the execution here is horrible. There are quality actors but Anthony Edwards seems like he's mailing it in. Were we supposed to be drawn in by that frozen lookalike? I mean they ended last week with it and this week they brought nothing to the...
So I'm not sure. Are you saying you didn't like it?
I agree with the sentiments of those who say it's hard to root for these characters when their "mission" is to injure, harm, terrorize good old US ofA. I am a child of the sixties and I readily admit my opinions and viewpoints are affected by living through the cold war era and the Russians being the "Evil Empire". It was about we were always one button push away from world annihilation. I know this sounds dramatic, but that is how living through that era molded our...
First let me say that I thought this show was extremely well done. It was a pleasure to have a format that was a little out of the box. With that said, I have to admit that as a person who lived through the cold war and had air raid drills in kindergarden in 1961 ( I know, I'm old) where we had to hide under our desk with terror that the Russians were dropping nukes on us (like that was gonna help much), the Kerri Russel character made me most uncomfortable at times. I...
Try Remote Potato. I was going to purchase the Ceton app but decide to first give this a try. It works great for controlling WMC 7. And if your'e not happy with it, no harm no foul. PS: I have no skin in the game...
