I'm talking about the setting in the AE8000U 3D menu system, not on the glasses themselves.

Question: when setting 3D material to "light" (as opposed to "normal" or "dark"), does this alter settings to that the image appears brighter or is it directly cranking up the bulb (and burning it out faster)?

Cinema 2 it is! Question: is it possible to use my computer's USB port to charge the 3D glasses, or are we stuck using the projector for this?

Haven't gotten my deck yet, btw, in case anyone wonders why I'm asking here instead of simply trying it out.

How have you guys been finding the 103's DACs to be? I've got a Marantz SR8002 and I'm wondering if I may be better off using the Oppo's analog outs instead of HDMI for audio.

So is it official that the BDP-83 is still a better SD-DVD up converter than the new 103?

That's probably right. On my end, I'm upgrading from an AE2000 and I'm excited beyond belief. Should be taking delivery of the 8000 at the end of the month!
