I have not seen that at all and I have had 2 units so far (one with a blue blog) but neither did that so I would not rule out that the unit can has an issue.
Call Panasonic tech support they can help and or where you got it from
The blotch which I attached a picture in a past post was large and was in the middle of the screen. It would show up on anything other than black and blue. I sent it back and they sent me a new one which was perfect.
Well I got the replacment yesterday and have to say this is one awesome projector. I have to say kudos to PP as they took care of the replacing it with little follow up from me. They even sent it overnight which is how I got the first one, most places I have used in the past would have grounded the replacment so I really have nothing but good things to say about PP.
So I had sometime last night to play with the 3D feature which is cool as long as you toss a 3D content...
PP replaced it and it will be here tomorrow. Kudos to Miguel and Todd over there for getting it done without too much pain and suffering.
Hopefully the replacement works as it should, I don't think I am going to mount it until I know its working 100%.
I was thinking today what sources I can use for 3D beyond the 3D DVD player? I also picked up a set of panasonic glasses today (ouch on price)
What is everyone using for glasses besides the Panasonic...
Well we are in the same boat however my issue was a blue screen blob in the middle (see eariler post), they need to figure out if they will just replace it or have to repair it.
I asked for replacing over repair since it was new and then my delay started.... Also came from PP
UPDATE:I spoke with PP today and their tech was helpful but their tech dept was understaffed today so getting things moving was a slow go, however I am now in a time vacuum as the procedure is to send it in for repair but PP wants it replaced as do I. So they have to work that out with Panasonic and it has to wait for approval from higher up as I am told. It's not a dust issue rather a defect in the projector which is still unknown exactly what. They did not recommend...
Both units are similar in picture but I give the epson a bit higher mark for clarity which can been seen in the picture of the TV guide, however the epson 8350 lacks the features and control the Panasonic and not to mention 3D which is why I got it.
Maybe Panasonic reads this forum and can comment on what the issue technically could be?
