1280x720 should not be an issue for most tvs . It's a solid place to start trouble shooting then try other resolutions too.

Btw your issue is most likely a HDD issue or a dirty registry ... Clean installing is probably a solid idea Thus my advice above. If your going to clean install anyways its perfect time to make the jump up.

SSD ? If not upgrade to one and you'll never be happier. I promise !

Id love to see a 4220 that comes with 120mm blade and no fans. Or with silent-x fans that run quieter
