I have watched Hugo in 3D with my 9500 and agree the effects are very good; enough so to over come the plot, which does lean toward sentimentality (that may be OK for some).

Finally bit the bullet and shipped my 9500 back to ACER (Texas) today for the firmware update and we'll see how it goes. Had to pay shipping charges there.

The glasses for my H9500BD failed today after about 12 hours total use. Replacing the battery did not help, so will try getting a replacement
I was absolutely astonished by the negative nature of the review and am pleased PC is willing to pull it and reconsider what was obviously an errant review.
