Quick question: Should color and tint adjustments do anything on a 8500 running RGBHV? If so, what could be the problem as I can run 0-100 on both and the pic still looks the same. My video inputs also only show up in greyscale if that could be related. I'm temporarily setting it up to sell and I'm making sure everything works a-ok.. Thanks,
The 200 MHz bandwidth video switching 1066's can be identified by serial numbers higher than #2341001. So it looks like you've got the 200mhz version!
Since it's all ready made it to the forum on a reply, I suppose I could announce it. I performed the mod last night and added a switch to turn the crossover on or off.. Have fun! http://www.datasync.com/~firebird/1066/
You guys kill me.. ;)
It's actually mine that I don't think I'm going to be able to use.. Just trying to get some expert opinions for when I sell it..

On a Marquee 8500.. Unit shows 11,000 hours.. Surely these have been replaced right? http://www.datasync.com/~firebird/left.jpg http://www.datasync.com/~firebird/all.jpg http://www.datasync.com/~firebird/right.jpg
Yes #7 was given out at CES like it is every year.. Along with what appears to be a 3 track music video DVD.. #3 is a good one, #2 is the same thing but with fewer tracks then #3 so don't worry about it. And #1 is so rare good luck.. Kevin D.
Can anyone that has a manual or this unit let me know how the 12v trigger works? I picked up one of these units at a insurance salvage place and can't seem to get the 12v trigger to work. I assumed it was standard tip+ sleeve- but power only works from the button. Didn't get the remote with it, so that may have something to do with it.. Thanks,
What you are probably running into is over-scan area, or blanking on the Marquee. Most Tv's run at least 5% over-scan if not more. The Marquee will send out what ever you send it. Technically you could fill the screen up with your smallest size picture and then add blanking to the ones that go over the screen..
