There is a huge difference in price for these two. Is the difference in sound quality big enough to be worth the extra money?
I haven't been able to really listen yet to see how bad the speaker is. My denon is not here yet and all I have is my 12 year old cheap htib Panasonic receiver. It's way too underpowered for these speakers.
I picked them up today. Talked him down a little. Two klipsch RF-3 II fronts and one RC-3 II for $250 total! Aside from the one blown speaker and missing grills, they look almost new. Now I need some surrounds to match. Any suggestions for surrounds?
Here's where I'm at now.
Denon 2113 arriving in a day or two - $368 refurb.
klipsch rw12d in the mail - $268 from newegg
Scored two klipsch RF-3 II fronts and one RC-3 II from craigslist for $250 total! One woofer is blown, but otherwise they look almost new. I will replace that speaker as soon as possible.
Just need some surrounds. I'm determined to find some klipsch RS...
How easy is it to get replacement parts for older klipsch speakers? I found on craigslist a set of one Klipsch RC3 - II Center Speaker, and two RF-3 Front speakers for $300. He says they are in great condition, EXCEPT there is one blown woofer on the RF-3, and missing all grills.
Found these on craigslist for a total of $300. Probably much better than the JBLs. Only problem is one blown woofer I will have to replace.
Anyone know where I can find the 190 for a decent price? I can't seem to find one.
I also found this klipsch center for $150 on craigslist. great condition. Maybe I should grab it. http://www.klipsch.com/rc-52
And these for $250 http://www.klipsch.com/rb-61-ii-bookshelf-speakers-pair
Looks like newegg isn't selling the 190 new anymore, they only have it open box. And the shipping is $21, compared to $5 for new speakers, which is weird. It loos like this speaker is out of stock in a lot of places. I probably won't be able to find it for a good price. I may have to settle for the 180.
