The issue is definitely with the PS3. I tried Black Ops on the 360 with using an HDMI cable it and worked. Again, either connected directly or through a receiver my Comcast cable box works fine with the tv for 3D.
I've updated the PS3 firmware and adjusted the settings as indicated elsewhere. For some reason I still get the same error message saying that a 3D TV is not detected.
Anyone else having trouble viewing HD content from a PS3 or Xbox 360? I keep getting an error message from the PS3 saying that a 3D TV is not detected and unable to get it working with the 360 as well. I have a first generation PS3 and 360 so I'm not sure if that's an issue (firmware is up to date on both though). 3D content from my Comcast cable box comes through fine though. I've connected via HDMI directly to TV and through a receiver with no luck with either. Any...
Did everything else besides switching the HMDI cable. I purchased a new high speed cable from monoprice. Hopefully that will do the trick. I even tried the HDMI cable that came with the TV and that didn't work either.
You're lucky. I have an early PS3 and a 60NX810 and I've tried Alice in Wonderland 3D and Killzone 3D demo and for some reason the PS3 won't recognize the TV as being a 3D tv. Any tips would be appreciated.
Interesting. I got my 60NX810 a few weeks ago and it's seems to be a phenomenal set so far after adjusting the settings somewhat (the same you should do with any TV). The only downside I noticed so far is the viewing angle. Definitely limited compared to my XBR2. Otherwise no complaints.
I've had this box for at least a month now and an issue has come up. The output resolution constantly switches. For instance, I've set the output in the menu to 1080i and it keeps switching back to 720p or 480p every time I power the television back on. I don't know how else to keep the resolution fixed.
Since Sony didn't pick up by XBR2 I got it fixed. Wasn't able to compare side by side but switched from one to the other. The NX810 is definitely superior in black levels and for my basement it's perfect since I don't have to watch tv in a semi-dark room anymore just to make out what's on tv. The XBR2 is still superior in viewing angles though, the one Achilles heel of the NX810. Crosstalk is an issue too but I didn't choose this model for the 3D. That's really just an...
