Solved. It was my TV. I put the tv in the predefined parameters of game and it fixed the issue. Not sure why this would cause such a problem.

ok. I plugged a laptop into the ethernet cable (same one used by xbox 360) and verified that I get a full 25mbit connection. I also tested out netflix on the laptop...smooth as silk. So it has to be either the xbox or the tv.

Ok I reset all the settings and used the suggested settings. Audio/Video now work but I get no DTS. I know this because normally my receiver will say DTS when playing content that is DTS.

The only thing I can come up with now is that it has something to do with my TV or the xbox 360. Both the tv and xbox are about 1 month old.
