Does the Instaport still work if you go source --> Quick6 ---> duo ---> AVR ---> display? Instaport is the most appealing feature to me.
Doesn't AVS sell Benq now (again)? Call them.
Calibration will not get black levels down to the newer set. They may improve, if brightness is set too high by default, but you can't calibrate a set into doing what it is not capable of doing.

I don't think the 21pt IRE scale is a CMS. That is probably gray scale only, which is an important tool, but is not a CMS.
