Universal HD used to be known as BravoHD. It's owned by NBC-Universal, and mainly shows older movies and repurposed content from the two companies. They will be showing Winter Olympics stuff on there as well.
2007? I'll be able to go pick it up in my flying car! I've only spoken with them on the phone, the local office people usually aren't very knowledgeable.
Dish Network is offering an MPEG4 DVR for $299. The trick is, that it's a lease. You still get the honor of paying $15 a month for it, and it must be returned when you cancel service.
I live in an apartment, so i just have a cheap Radio Shack set top antenna. Voom was exciting at first, but their programming repeats an awful lot. Supposedly, by the first of the year the other 11 Voom channels will be available.
I live off of Gray Rd. at the top of M72. NBC can be picked up easily, their transmitter is on the station's tower. PBS comes in good as well. ABC and CBS are no shows for me. Wirh creative address fudging with Dish, I can get CBS-HD from New York. Are you getting the Voom channels as well as the HD Pack?
The Charter person I spoke with said that in order to get the local channels in HD, you had to subscribe to the HD tier AND be a Digital cable subscriber. I pointed out that on their channel listing on the Charter website, WWTV is described as "Hi-Def Lifeline", she said it didn't matter.
Last night (Tuesday) 7&4's audio was out of sync on the OTA HD channel between 9 and 11pm. First time I've seen that on there. REALLY annoying. I don't have Charter's service so i don't know if it was messed up on there as well.
