Fans and hard drives! No kidding arnyk, do I ever hear you. I learned after numerous failures of components that you are best served by fans with ball bearings, like on a PC power supply, or long lasting fluid bearings on PC case fans....

I don't think you'll find any real reason to sell it after you get it fixed. My HT-RC 180 is working better than it did when new since I got it fixed. One thing it is doing better is not dropping the audio when the Dialog Norm -3dB...
Nosferatu, Get it fixed. It is still covered by Onkyo even if it is over two years and out of warranty. They have redesigned the HDMI board so it should be a good repair and you may even want to keep it. Knowingly selling something...
Dave, Also check and see if there is a firmware update for your 807. It is under the Receiver>Setup area of the remote control. You need to view all of this via your HDTV set.
