Erasing the Blu live memory worked ! Thx
I really dont use the BD Live , so it never occured to me to be a problem . I'll keep this in mind for future refrence . Again my thx for the help and fast reply .
Quick question , anyone get the movie "Fast Five" to play correctly on the BD85?
Movie plays fine on my pc , but not on the BD85 as it just goes throgh the first two movie promo's and then goes into a endless movie restart mode loop (or goes back to players setup screen).
Never had a problem with any other movie not playing before from what I can remember . Firmware is up to date , but as we know the last update was quite awhile ago .
I no longer have my 370 , but had the blank screen problem too at one point (for no apparent reason) . Seems you may need to try a unit reset . If I remember correctly , you need to hold down the power on button for 15+ seconds to reset the unit to default . That "should" get you back to an onscreen menu to try and atleast asses the problem further .
Grabbed the 85 yesterday for $125+tax (to replace my Sony s-370) mostly for the analog since ive had to resort back to my older Yamaha HTR-5660 after sending my v-1065 back earlier this year due to defects .
I always wanted to compare the two anyway (Panny vs Sony)
My v1065 was the same way even with the latest firmware . Tried a few powered antennas too (that I had laying around) , no help . I can only a single HD station , period , that goes in and out as you discribed .
All our cars radios gets more stations then the reciever does .
No the reciever does not need to be on as it will do a pure pass-thru , but there is a menu setting to enable it (aka: on my v1065 its that way , should be the same for the v765) . On my v1065 when enabled a small front panel red light will be on , showing its enabled when the unit is in standby mode .
Yeh , just triple checked everything and even when the unit is used by itself ( not used as pre-pro , and nothing else connected) , the transformer hum is still there . Also got a few other replies in other AVS Yamaha threads confirming the same , send it back !
