There had been some issues with early lamp dimming on the jvc, I dunno if the newer lamps had that corrected, and a related post....

You will get a better image on the 5020. Perfection on any lcd pj is a little hard to get no matter the choice. I wouldn't be to concerned with using the lens shift in that situation, that's what it's for. Sure if you could mount the pj...
