I think with the Sidebar apps like Twitch and Skype having a music app like Pandora should be similar. Personally though I would like to just hit the guide button on the controller go to my music that I have shared from my server and have that play. Having to have screen space being taken up by an APP next to my Game would distract me.
Yeah that's why I ask as I haven't heard anything mentioned and with most things if they don't mention it then it probably isn't there. Hopefully it hasn't been removed as a design feature. Anyone able to confirm that this still works?? I loved rocking out to my own music streaming from my server while playing Halo and Forza and would be a shame if it has been removed.
Its been a few years since I've gamed but does anyone know if the new Xbox one will allow us to stream our own music to play during gaming session like what could be done on the 360?
That's understandable. The good thing if you want to call it that is its not like DDWRT in that the guy creating the Merlin firmware is building off of the stock firmware from Asus. Some of the features in the latest stock firmware come from what was available in Merlin. I haven't had any issues with it but the latest version has a few bugs to work out due to changes that Asus implemented.
I've been using this router since February and have liked it. If your interested trying installing the merlin Firmware as it adds some more features you may want to use. http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showthread.php?t=11774
I also have high hopes more companies will include Google Music streaming in their devices. With the upcoming rumored Google Media Device coming things may get a little easier then having to plug my phone into the receiver to use the service.
I had the Def Techs and hated them. To me they lacked a lot of clarity but my use case was for a 5.1 surround setup for my outdoor theater. I upgraded to the Klipsch AW-650 and highly recommend them. You can easily find them for less then $400 for the pair if you are willing to save a little more. The model below the 650's may also suit your needs. Give the Klipsch a shot and see how they compare to what you already are looking at.
In case you wanted to mess around with it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1772433
For anyone interested in trying XBMC now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1772433 UPDATE: App force closes on the Sony GoogleTV but runs on my Galaxy Nexus.
I have yet to test it after i found the checkbox to allow audio to passthru. The Plex app is borked since it updated. Anyone know of an alternative to Plex that has a similar front end? GTVbox is no good at this point. Wish I could get Boxee or XMBC on this thing.
