Modem7890 : Calibration settings that produce a accurate picture do not fall in line with what your trying to achieve. Aint nothing wrong with that. Set it vivid and forget it.
I too started off on Vivid (like most of us) back in the 90's.
There is a learning curve involved when understanding TV levels (ie: color/brightness/contract/etc). However, when you take the time to learn appreciate, and get used to a properly calibrated set - there ain't no turning back! ...
I remember selling my 360 years ago to Pick up a PS3 in prep for "Blurays and GT4". Then GT4 came out and It was unrefined, unfinished, ps2 level audio, poor online play. Bah! I think I need to buy a used 360... This thread is fantastic.
I own Battlefield for the PS3 and PC, and I have to say the PS3 version sounds 10x better. Especially the use of multiple channels. The PC version sounds like its tuned for stereo (kids with headphones I guess...).
Would the Q900/C600 combo sound Muddy in a small to medium room?
They look extremely capable compared to say the Salk and its center.
Is the Q900 geared towards HT or is it balanced for both? Herm...
Looks like a steal at the price its going for (sans lower quality cabinet).
