Your probably watching them on the analog channel instead of the digital one. I get widescreen hi def over the air on my hitachi 51s715 with rooftop antenna. Or the tv isn't set to display widescreen in menu system.
Ok i am getting digital channels on tv tuner using the channel 72-1 on up to 115- something. Sure hard to keep track of them using all those digits. Glad i use the 6412 box, its eaiser but at least i can view most of the digital channels now without the box if needed. Thanks
I have Comcast in S.E. Mi. Is their a way to know if i am getting digital channels on 2 thru 99 now. I was told Comcast is sending channels 2-99 in both analog and digital now but i dont belive it, My tv has a digital tuner and it wont show the signal meter for digital channels when i use the lower ones 2-99 and i cant tell the difference when using the 6412 box either.
Do you mean once you change the input to A you cannot change it back to input 1 without restarting the tv? My 51S715 can change inputs without restarting. Go with the external splitter like most of us do.
My 51S715 says in the manual
MONITOR- SELECT MONITOR TO OUTPUT THE AUDIO AND VIDEO SIGNALS OF THE CHOSEN INPUT SOURCE (ant a, ant b, vid-3 ,4,5 to a vcr or other A/V source.
TV TUNER OUT- SELECT TV TUNER out to output the audio and video signals of the last watched antenna source (ANTA, ANT B
I haven't tried it yet, but looks like it wont output video 1 or 2 out the monitor jacks.
A friend just bought this and it downloaded the wrong channels in the program guide. We went into the menu to change them to the right ones but didnt know how to save the changes so the guide went back to the wrong channels again. Anyone know the secret to save the edited channels in the guide?
