Welcome to the group Mephistophanes. You'll get used to the size of the speakers after awhile but like a true man I'd run with the larger TV idea too.  Just have to sell it to the wife.

The reason I went with the 703's is because I have a capable sub to carry the low frequencies. Not sure you're really going to gain much. You might be better off getting the matching CC. IMHO.

Polk ebay is having a sale if anyone is interested. 15% off instead of the usual 10% off.
