Thank God for AVS Forums. Bought this old school stereo receiver (not a 5.1 guy, sorry) and I promise I read the manual but must have missed that little paragraph on page 19. AVS Forum (and Google) to the rescue. Thanks, all!
Had the same issue and have come across others as well. I initially fixed the problem by switching to wired but now the machine won't even log in to Netflix either wired or wirelessly. I've given up and decided this purchase was a big mistake. Ordered a Roku today (I already have one on another TV and it works great). Will probably wait for a new firmware to show up and if that doesn't fix it, will chalk it up as an expensive lesson in brand differentiation.
I solved the problem but it was by brute force. I attached an access point in client mode and just switched the Panny to wired operation since the problem is clearly with the wireless. Four hours of HD Netflix steaming with no dropped connection. Something is definitely flawed with the wireless on the player. It's a shame, too, since I paid premium for a player with its own wireless. What a waste.
Same exact problem here. It started happening immediately after updating to v1.31.
My scenario: Netflix times out, no wireless connection, no networks found (dozens should be shown). Power button on remote turns unit off but not back on. Power cord reboot returns everything to normal for an indeterminate amount of time (20-30 mins?) then it happens all over again. Rebooting and reconnecting is, obviously, tedious.
Any help would be welcomed.
