You will need a view of the southern sky for the antenna. No need for another sub.

There's an audio cable that comes with the dock. Red and white for left and right audio it will plug into the audio inputs on the back of your reciever.

That is the amplifier for the antenna. My current setup is a CM4228 with rotator a CM7775 amp all run with quad shielded cable run into a 5-900MHz 4 way splitter with cable runs to 3 Dish Network STB's and 1 HTPC.
Through the 4 year I have had my setup I played with many a different configuration. I'm pretty far out there so I know my limitations and never found the splitter to be a problem. YMMV
