I just sold my Studio 20's and I was planning on getting Studio 100's. However, I've got that itch to just go Signature. Can anyone tell me if it's worth it? I paid a ton for that CC690 and I love it - will the C5 best it?
I'm upgrading my entire system and I'm ready to move to a dedicated preamp/amp. I got this receiver after reading this review:
and can say I absolutely love it, as others on the AVS website do as well.
This comes w/everything in "as new" condition. Including all packaging.
(I prefer to ship only in the U.S., as I know there is a lot of paperwork to ship out of the country).
Wow, did you misread my post. My point was that I'm real happy people are talking about room design. Did I mention a THING about money? No. You can get some fiberglass at Lowe's for $25 and wrap it in $3 speaker cloth, stick a nail in it on the wall and you would be doing your room a world of good (especially if its four concrete walls). So please don't think I'm only talking about $5,000 treatments.
I just love the fact that those people on this thread are concerned with room acoustics. I can't stand seeing pictures like the one below. As if drywall and hard floors with no treatment is the type of home theater we should aspire.
Doesn't get any better with the Rainmakers.http://www.stereophile.com/content/totem-acoustic-rainmaker-loudspeaker-measurementsor with the Forestshttp://www.stereophile.com/content/totem-acoustic-forest-loudspeaker-measurements
I would definitely look into the Paradigm Monitor series. Very easy to drive, lots of ways of mixing/matching (they have micro speakers in the line all the way up to massive towers). For $2K, you can easily get a 7.1 Monitor system with money left over. I'd go with two Monitor 9's and Center 3 up front, two Atoms for the sides and two Mini's for the rear, with a PDR-100 Sub.
I like Atlantic Technology...
Everything I've read says "Get the Epson". However, I don't understand why everyone looks at the 5020 instead of the 6020. you get the 2 pairs of 3d glasses, extra bulb, ceiling mount, two extra years warranty, THX mode. Then the one thing money can't buy - it's BLACK!
