I turned the HDMI Passthrough thing completely "Off" last night and it was fine this morning. I may not have the exact terminology correct there but if it's still OK tomorrow, I'm gonna consider this resolved for now.
I have an HTPC hooked up to this receiver via HDMI and while it works fine, each morning (after non-use overnight), the HTPC seems to be losing the Onkyo as a playback device.
The only way I can get audio back so far is to reboot the HTPC. The video is there just fine and I have no issues in that regard, just the audio.
The HTPC stays powered at all times and I don't think I have it set to sleep at all.
Running the same video card I'm using in my Bedroom...
Oh man...thanks for that. I don't use my Oppo as much as I use the HTPC but this one was stumping me. I'll have to log this for future reference...and REMEMBER to erase that Persistent Storage as well, the ONE thing I didn't do.Now watching The Amazing Spider-Man on my Oppo BDP-83 all thanks to you guys!
...and the problem is back again. Worked for several hours this morning then after some inactivity, it just seemed to die.
It is DEFINITELY something to do with the Microsoft eHome infrared transceiver, driver related.
The weird thing is though...it was "Ba-Boing, Ba-Donking" like crazy and I was getting ready to reboot so I close iTunes and it loaded and stayed loaded this time.
Is there something wonky with the USB Stuff, something related to iTunes or something that I...
Anyone experience any problems with the Remote Dongle/IR Receiver not wanting to mount properly?
I get stuck in a loop of trying to load what is supposedly the included driver but continuously fails. Totally ties up the PC. Not sure what happened...after the BIOS update, it's been so bad I have to leave it unplugged.
I did swap my original IR Receiver out with the other two in the house and both work initially but then fail the next time I get ready to use the device. ...
In this installation, this is the ONLY way I could get it to fit properly. The hard drive cage is in the way the other way and it lacks just a tad clearing the back case fans has I rotated it the other direction.
In either case, my GT450 would have been too big and would clear the side. I could have purchased a small GT430 series and probably been OK had I been able to clear the back fans...but, this is working now.
Other cases may not have had this problem but the...
Couple of shots of the new CPU Cooler...sorry for the tint, just outside lighting with no incandescent help.
Shot 1 - From the top down. Hey, were is the PCI-E slot?
Shot 2 - From the side. There's that pesky PCI-E slot, completely and totally unusable on this motherboard now.
The MB is the ASRock Z68 Pro3-M. Consider this if you need extra cooling, have the board and want to run a dedicated GPU. In fact, the only thing I believe that is now available...
Yep...just had my son read off the settings from the guides and reset everything to your specs. We'll see how I fare now.
I also ran the CCleaner Utilities to make sure my registry was cleaned up from the uninstalls and changes yesterday. I was getting random reboots and thought there may have been some Kruft left in there.
Haven't heard the Mount/Unmount USB sound for a bit...don't know what that might have been. I'll address it if it comes back I guess.
I suppose I...
