Per projector centrals calculator just under 17 feet throw with the Sony. Image brightness 11FL. This may be okay for 2d but 3d would be very dim.

I owned the w1070 for about a week before selling it and getting the hw50. I have a 159" HP 16:9 screen. Both projectors 17 feet from screen the w1070 is brighter then the Sony in all modes except 3d. I found the Sony to be brighter...

This is sad, I'm still running my Epik Castle I bought back in early 08 and couldn't be more happier. Hope they get their stuff together.
