Last night I switched from my over the air HD feed of Boston Legal on 40/29 to my direct TV feed from new York because the audio on 40/29 was plain stereo and the NY feed was Dolby digital 5.1. Anyone else have that problem?
Is it possible to do PIP with the HR20. It in essence has three tuner, 2 sat and 1 OTA. You can record on two and watch the third. Seems like more than enough HP is there. Can't find anything about PIP in the manual. Was rather frustrating this weekend to have the football game on one channel and NASCAR on another at the same time. The PREVIOUS button takes about 5 seconds to switch back and forth. PIP would be real nice.
Test channel 490 is intermittent on a system a friend has. 6x 8 multi switch, 3 recievers all D20, 5 LNB slimline dish. Problem comes and goes. All the other test channels work fine. 490 is the odd transponders on sat 101 I think. I am voting for an intermittent LNB. Anyone out there got a better idea? All of the other test channels 480,481,491,492,493,494, & 494 work fine.
Is there a list somewhere that lists which channels on Direct tv are on which voltage (13 volt, 18 volt, 22 KHZ, etc) and which LNB on the 5 LNB slim line dish are used for each. I have several channels that are gone. D* says it is my equipment. Am trying to troubleshoot. I think I have a LNB going bad.
Am I correct that the 103b sat has (or will have ) all the new stuff. I am getting 95 and above on all those transponders. And 103a is the spot beams for locals in HD, getting little if any signal on those. I also read somewhere about an upcoming piece of equipment that will allow us to diplex OTA again and allow only one coax to the HD DVR. Was that a dream or not?
I was just told by a CSR that the boloflactor overloaded the hypernator drive on the turboencabulator and caused the spurving bearings to misalign. As soon as they write a python script and upload to the moxi eprom and reflash the entire OS then the girdle spring should be able to fix the problem unless a piece of space junk blocks the second and seventh info packet from the data stream. Sound like they might get it fixed yet today. My experience with turboencabulators has...
