Update - stupid user was the source... I was using the combo power button (powers multiple devices on off) when entering codes. Directv remote code is 31298. It works and will allow volume control, mute and power off from the DTV...

I would also like to get the service manual. I know that it is large but it sure would be great if someone has posted it or I can setup an ftp site to receive the file. Thanks, Kevin
