Do you have an extended warranty? Most of them entitle you to a replacement set (or even a store credit) if the same problem occurs for a third time.
I've had my light engine replaced three times now, most recently at the tail end of January. So far so good this time, but I'm beginning to suspect that a large percentage of the light engines will eventually fail. Perhaps all of them...

Yes, it handles 24fps, 30fps and 60fps. But its refresh rate in all cases is still 60hz (it has to upconvert the frame rate when fed 24fps or 30fps.)

As far as I'm concerned, if it's not in 16:9 (HD or DVD,) it doesn't exist.
HD channels often transmit programming that is upconverted from SD. Such programming will claim to be HD (because the signal is an HD signal,) but the picture is nevertheless 4:3 (because it was upconverted from 4:3 SD content.)
