I haven't seen any banding on my set. I ran a bunch of tests from the Disney WOW disc and it looked like a pretty flawless image by all accounts.

Why does everyone get so excited about the sets blacker blacks, but not seem to mind about the greyer whites? That seems pretty unexceptable.
