I'm glad that worked for you. It's not perfect, but it's something. It took me a little while to figure that out. When I first got my sub, I noticed it was going into standby. As I started to play with the settings a little, it stopped. Then it was a matter of going through the settings one by one trying to figure out which caused it to stop going into standby.
For those of you who's subs are not going into standby mode, have you tried any of the different sound modes? For instance, my sub will go into standby if it's in flat mode, but will not if it's in either punch or depth.
From reading your initial post...we have 2 things in common: being cheap and having a 705hd projector. That being said, I feel compelled to throw in my $0.02. I recently finished building a 110" spandex screen. As smokarz stated above, it was very easy to work with. I used the moleskin matte gray over the moleskin matte white. Take it for what it's worth as I am far from a videophile, but I am very happy with the results. When researching projectors, one of the...
Thank you both MississippiMan and smokarz for your help. I finally made my decision and ordered both the moleskin matte silver and white. Now to just purchase the materials for the frame and start building.
How would the picture on "Moleskin Matte Silver" compare to the material you PM'd me about earlier? Would the benefits of both the ease of working with it and the lower price out way any performance decreases or would there be a performance decrease at all?
I just purchased my first projector... an Epson 705hd. I'm going to attempt to build my own screen. I've been looking online at different screen materials and am wondering if anybody has any experience with either of the following: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140750634812?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 or http://www.ebay.com/itm/330752601351?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 My screen will be approximately 110" with seating about...
Yes, I plan on purchasing the wood and other materials to build the frame myself. For the sake of argument and correct me if I'm wrong, which I probably am, but isn't the sole purpose of black-out cloth for room darkening curtains? Can't you purchase it at some fabric stores? How is this any different than using spandex? I apologize for my lack of understanding of the definition of "DIY". Thank you for your suggestion and education.... I do appreciate it.
