Whoever bought into HD-DVD will get a $10 dollar coupon that you could put towards a Toshiba Blu-ray player
That’s classic! HD-DVD users will have to go to Canada to buy their movies.
No add here in Northern VA.
Spielberg and lucas have said that they want nothing to do with HD-DVD. They only want their movies on Blu-ray. They even put something in the contract that said if these films were releases on HD-DVD they would also have to be released on Blu-ray. It's one of the reasons why we haven't seen these movies on HD-DVD yet. At this point there is no way in hell that we will see any of these movies(including the new Jones movie) on HD-DVD. Also, The Star Wars series would be...
Universal. I might just aswell be Universal going it alone considering how few movies Paramount releases. Warner was the cohesive bond that held the HD-DVD release line up together. They were the only studio that released movies between the few big Universal and paramount movies. There is going to be big gaps in the HD-DVD line-up without warner present. Universal and paramount don't have enough time/movies to release a quality line up for HD-DVD. It's over.
Not if it stands to make more money over time by dropping HD-DVD and helping Blu-ray become mainstream.
Why should they pay you. Warner didn't force you to buy the HD-DVD versions.

But it's not useless! You can still play Universal movies in it and it's still a great dvd up-converter and it a fantastic doorstop
