But again - you would have to have that switch outdoors and run power to it. It makes a lot more sense to purchase 1 directional antenna (for the router on your end), another for the bridge, and a short cable.
Yeah for in-ground you need some PVC conduit, the correct sealants and a trencher - all told it would take about a day of labor to cut the trench and lay the conduit. Materials would likely be about 500-600 dollars to do it that way. Wireless will be much cheaper.
Is everyone here forgetting that WiFi is scalable? All he needs is a better antenna on the router end.
Your best option is to purchase a high gain antenna for your router. This will save you a lot of trouble.
Something like a Hawking 7 - 12 db high gain antenna, in your case an outdoor antenna may be best.
Has anyone else run into the issue where they change button config for the device, but this doesn't affect activities?
For example, I have a PS3 control solution (IR4PS3) that I had to reconfigure buttons for. When I selected Devices -> PS3 the buttons all work as expected, when I use the Watch a Blu-Ray activity - the buttons are not updated.
Is this a common problem?
