I am not sure I understand what you are saying, Panasonic is sending you back 1300 for? How long have you had your ST50?
Here is an update, The tech came out to take a look at my ST50, he is going to report back to Panasonic on the issues. The tech was honest with me and said there are two things Panasonic may do, replace the panel or say nothing is wrong...
I am having the same problems with my ST50, repair is coming out next Friday.
I plan to call myself soon, let me how this goes for you.
This is not really a good picture but to the right of the screen, you can see a greenish glob.
