I don't work for Apple but I'm not sure why you're disqualifying iTunes content from testing the capabilities of the ATV? If you're suggesting that iTunes is transcoding content on-the-fly, it's not -- as you can tell from the CPU usage....

Personally I make an ISO to preserve the entire BD including menus, picture-in-picture etc. So it's only the Oppo (perhaps the O!Play) for me for now. Still hoping for a Dune or Popcorn Hour with HDMI 1.4 and 3DBD ISO.
