Something has to be wrong with the numbers. Three BestBuys in my area has given HD DVD three times as much shelf space as Bluray. Can others confirm this in other areas? Why would BB stock more when they are selling less?
It's my understanding that if you set your burner to "Physical Disc Type" instead of "DVD-ROM" then the HD material burned to DVD will play perfectly. I realy don't think you can say Toshiba broke something either, since these machines were not originally meant to play HD material from a regular DVD.
