I still have the burn. I am going to try running a super-crazy video fullscreen, all day while I am at work. See if that fixes it at all. I really don't want to have to buy a new TV after only four years.
I get a flawless signal when I plug directly into my TV, but, when I plug it into a VCR or AV switch, I get a black screen. I t makes NO sense to me. What am I missing?
The gaol is to route it through the VCR, in order to use it as an RF demodulator, and, in turn, route that to an Adaptec Gamebridge to record on a computer.
What am I missing here?
I'd spring for a component AV mod for the thing if that's the only option, but it can't be.
I have this weird stain/burn on my screen. I've had it for a long, long time, and I'm just sick of it. I've tried using burn-in fix software, and I'm wondering if I've gone aout it the wrong way. Here's a picture (the circle is only to show where the area is):
ANY help would be appreciated.
The Sony 550 or the Panny 55K would be your best bet at this stage. You could hold out for the new models, or check the deals here, as both those models are discontinued.
PS3, I believe, is still the fastest loader out there, but, it does NOT offer 7.1 outputs at all.
Whew! This was a breeze. They repacked it (not as well as I'd hoped, but adequately), and they were right: the box looks like hell. Opened it up, and, aside from some preopened component bags (remote and batteries - hell, it came with Energizer batteries in it!), the interior packaging was spic and span. Oh, and that "blemish"? A one-inch hairline scratch. Player is operating beautifully. Snatch the deal while there are still literally a few left!

Amazon has a pretty good track record. I'll give this a shot. Out the door, it's still $50 less than I would have paid at Tiger Direct after taxes (and they are out...
