I am using a L/R as a center. If you have the means to do so, I don't see why you wouldn't. The dispersion of the tweeter is wider (180 degrees) in the L/R option than the center option (somewhere around 120 degrees).

The gallo stradas make for amazing on-walls. But, they are not as shallow/flat to the wall as some of the speakers you mention if that is a concern. Take a look. I love my setup of 5 stradas on the wall, absolutely incredible.
