I commented on the hdcp status in my 2nd post. Anyway, I've actualy managed to fix it .
1. I uninstalled the hmdi audio device from device manager and deleted the drivers.
2. After a reboot, windows picks un a generic audio device
3. I installed catalyst 14.6. This gave me dolby digital support only for some reason.
4. Finally, I installed the driver that bryonMHome (thanks for that) recommend in his last post. THis updates it from ati to realtek .
