I started with a Denon 1910 as my re-entry receiver, and it was quite good. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the newer 1911! The only thing lacking IMO is the pre-amp outs. I wish Denon would trickle them down to the lower end...

Room depth is right at 18', so the throw is about 18'6".
