I set up my theater in 2005. Then took it down when I moved. Now I am setting it back up in my basement, which is well light controlled. I have a 106" dalite screen 1.0 gain. The infocus, I thought, had a great picture. Of course its...
The sherwood looks pretty interesting. Thanks for the suggestions. I would like an ethernet connection though. I think thats a deal killer. The room correction sounds great though. I wouldn't have thought of a Sherwood.
Thanks. Looks like might need to spend $600 to get into the game. The Onkyo's and Denon's both have Audyssey, which should help tame my room. Between say the 709, 717 and Denon 3312, they are all fairly close in price, is there any real...
I built a theater in 2005. Then moved out of state for a few years and am now setting up the theater again. My old Marantz 5200 is in use in another room. So I have B&W all around, 5.1 setup, an ATI 2505 and will be picking up a bluray...
Not talking pricing here...but if you are AAA member (join for $35) you can print an 8% coupon for CC. I used it last week for 42px80 and got 36 mo no interest. Yes the msrp just dropped. Street prices seem the same though. Enjoy
one more time. ok the newer stand is 15" spread the older one I mentioned is 602 or 684mm which is 23.7 or 26.9" and they weigh 12kg, much nicer really, except wrong color. Wonder what other table stands are available if at all..
Sorry to reply to my own answer... Seems new ones are 15" apart. IIRC the older stand was 18.5" spread. Not sure but I think it was a larger spread..darn. I am not wall mounting and dont like the provided stand.. ERic
I am going to pick up the 42 as well. The stands with these are not that secure. The holes look like they will fit the older consumer stands...I have a st42px20 stand in my basement that I am going to try to use. It weighs twice as much...
Thanks for the response on size. I realize its personal preference and what you get used to or more likely what your wife will allow. That being said any thoughts on the pixel mapping to 1024? have the 42"'s always been 1024? Seems...
I have read a fair bit and watched them both. If 46" were available I would have it. Anyhow, does anyone think the 1366 versus 1024 is a big deal? The 42" fits my space better and is cheaper. 1080 at this point is not a big deal to me....
