Taiyo Yuden. The fact that the skipping only occurs with TV discs, and not movies, makes the problem really odd to me. That makes me think the problem isn't with the discs, because if it were then the movie formatted discs would be problematic too.
For whatever reason my 980 skips whenever I try to play burned TV discs. For instance on a disc with seven episodes it starts to skip right near the end (around episode six). The discs are completely clean and play perfectly on my Playstation 3. Is the 980 not recommended to play burned discs? Or is DVDfab platinum not a good program to use with the 980? The fact that this skipping never occurs with movies makes the problem all the more confusing.
My Oppo DVD player has been skipping a lot lately, despite the discs being clean, so I thought it would be a good time to purchase some DVD lens cleaner. Can anyone recommend a particular brand for me? Thanks.
I'm considering buying a DVD recorder with a built in hard drive. I know the main benefit of the hard drive is being able to edit the recorded footage, but does the hard drive footage playback as well as footage on a disc? And does anyone have a particular player to recommend? Thanks.
I was doing research on a quality DVD/VHS combo unit to transfer several old tapes to DVD and this unit was recommended a few times. Considering the transfer of VHS tapes is the main priority for me is this the best combo unit to purchase? Thanks.
For the most part I'm looking to transfer non commercial tapes. But there are a few commercial videos too. Can you recommend PC software I can use to remove the copyright protection (ideally involving a combo player).
