"air-tite" is a term used by Halo for heat transfer purposes, I don't think the gasket will do anything for sound. Some people here recommend wrapping the supports, after installing, with electrical tape to reduce rattling.
Though I am curious to know exactly how a sheet of 5/8" drywall is better, for STC purposes, than a "worthless" 5/8" sheet of Temple-Inland SoundChoice.
