But eventually, wouldn't pioneer stop doing firmware updates so some of the newer and future Blurays will not play on the player. What about the the the blu ray player in the HTPC is in capable of giving me true 24fps?

This is what scares me... the "everything was working fine and then all of a sudden it doesn't work." This is my biggest fear. As of now. I have the PCie card in my HTPC and it is working wonderful well. I just hope this continues like...
While it has great range, I couldn't get screen word FONT large enough to justify staying as far back as I can.
