In much of the world, we have 8 foot ceilings in most homes, so 53, 54 Hz is a major problem. Not so everywhere. Just as a rumble filter in the US was 60 Hz, it was 50 just about every where else. I had a room once withthe smoothest bass I have ever heard. Not only because it was a large room with vaulted ceilings, but as it was a mobile home, the walls were just about transparent to bass so they caused no major modes!
