I could be wrong but I gotta believe this set won't top an Elite on ANSI contrast. LED brightness combined with local dimming is a force. I do hope you're right however and that maybe next year they make it in 75"+
Not me (at least at the moment).
Parasound Halo A52
Seaton Submersive HP
All from different manufacturers but it comes together quite nicely.
I do have an older Elite DV-59AVi but it is rarely used anymore.
FWIW Rad said it "looks spot on" not that it is.Rad, I asked a few questions to Evangelo2 a few posts back. If you could take a look at them and answer them it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.John
Evangelo, thanks for posting. A few quick questions for you.
If you can describe, how much of an improvement did it make to your picture? 10%? 20%? What settings were you using prior? What material have you seen a noticeable difference on (a movie title and time would be helpful) and is there anything about the calibration you're not happy with?
I failed to mention a few things. If I were buying a new TV, I would pull the trigger on an Elite 70" if you can still get one. Don't wait as supplies are disappearing. Assuming you can get one for $4500, I would add on a few years of Best Buy protection. Between this and tax, you should be just north of $5k. Sign up for reward zone for a lot of free BB gift cards and a 45 day return policy. Best Buy has 24 month 0% financing, which I would enroll in and put down...
